The potential difference is expressed in volt (V). The potential difference between two points is said to be 1 volt if the work is done in moving 1-coulomb charge from one point to another is 1 joule.

Some books have written that potential difference is the amount of work required to bring 1 columb of charge from one point to another of a electric circuit and some have written that it is tha difference of potential between two ends . I didnot get if it is the work or the difference or both are same??
