A tip I have is to paint hard to reach parts before assembling. Cockpit details, dials, gauges, seatbelts, etc.
When you know you won't have room after it's assembled. Sometimes I'll paint it while still on the spru.

Cool, I'm building this exact same model now. I chose the black color as suggested for this model. Note that when helicopters are static, their blades tends to bend, so I bended the blades a little so that it looks more real. I used a hair dryer
