I live in Madagascar and just got this for $413, 68 tax included a month ago! It's a beast of machine, may I say. I paired it up with a Blackview 1080p HDR FreeSync Portable monitor and a bluetooth mice/keyboard combo. And I still have a lot of space in my bag :) I sold my HP Omen 15 2021 model because of failling keys issues. It's very hard to find gaming Laptop's Keyboard replacement in my country!

Prime, Please test it with an eGPU if possible. Had to jump through hoops with my Beelink and have this device on order and very curious to know if I’ll have todo the same… plus it will look insane having a tiny PC with comparatively huge eGPU! :)

Dude, seeing a little brick the size of a computer mouse playing Cyberpunk 2077 (granted at 720p low with FSR) at like 70-80 FPS just feels so wrong. It's insane how far technology has come. Imagine going back in time to the 80's, when the NES was *the* game console, and showing people how the big fat NES has like, 0.01% the power of this brick that's like 5-10% the size. (They'd probably also be utterly astonished at the future games themselves lol)

The base model at it's current price does look attractive in spite of having no Ethernet but I guess that a decent external dock could be used on that USB 4 port. Please, whenever you mention USB 3.2, remember that there are different variants (GEN1.2 etc), which helps to assess the real I/O benefits.

08:06 you're running a game that is almost 100 GB big with an entire OS off of an external drive. USB-C transfer speeds aren't that reliable to ensure that no problems can accure in this scenario, especially with an enormous number of files!

I got my WinMax 2 just to run HoloISO on it, seeing some YT videos (including yours) that it works well in there. But it's a total disaster, it's almost unusable.
But I will try again with this Chimera stuff, maybe I'll have more luck.

I'd like to see the UM790 Pro hooked up to an egpu through oculink, it has a spare m.2 slot for the adapter.

No idea at this point why Valve doesn't just release an official non-Deck Steam OS distro from its website. Just have to do what most distro's do and say it won't work with Nvidia cards.

I got an update from Minisforum Support and they said no official release date on the EM780 however I asked them if they can use 7500MHz-LPDDR5 and they didn't say no but will give their feedback to the relevant product designers. It's all I got from them. Last PC I ever bought from them was the UM700. Ryzen 3750H.
