Greetings from the USA! I fully agree that the 1/4oz gold coin is the best size to stack right now because it’s considered highly affordable and will be for years to come. The 1/4oz gold coin is my preferred size but if I can’t afford it when I want to buy gold, then I fall back to the 1/10oz coin because those are even more affordable and will be so for a long time.

I don’t own any gold smaller than 1/10oz, because I found Silver has better premiums than gold below that size. Also an ounce of Silver believe it or not is more divisible than a gram of gold. An ounce of Silver is also is also cheaper than a single gram of gold. Something to consider when buying precious metals.

Very good idea, buy small to keep things liquid. Never thought of those but it's a great idea!

Classy display of yellow, 365👌 Agree about goldbacks, just fun to have! Those vintage Krugs are the best, total cabbage spiders!

I have a lot of one ounce gold but it's to purchase property or boat later on

In the states that are using goldbacks the premium is part sell/purchase price and is always past on.. Encapsulated in polymer you can put it in your wallet. Not very fragile at all… in a billfold it can crack the gold but it is all still there as a currency item.

Surely silver is the option to be liquid and gold for long term store of wealth ?

I don't at present have any Gold coin with weight above a Sovereign. I will be picking up a 10, 20 and 50 Peso Gold coin set but that will be my only venture above 1/4oz. In the UK Sovereigns are the way forward.

This is exactly why I love goldbacks. Premium is a bit high but that’s what you get one you go hyper fractional.

Makes sense. Great video! 1/10 & grams are more in line with my budget. I love my goldbacks because I was a coin & currency collector way before I started stacking, so I buy goldbacks when I buy bullion.

Im focusing on stacking Sovereigns at the moment. Might even get a few half sovereigns for some of the reasons you mentioned, plus I just love them.
Gold backs are a bit too Incy Wincy for me.

If you buy packs (30 or 50) of the 1g gold bars then the gram price is much lower than buying them individually.
I prefer the ones which are already all separate, rather than the joined together combi-bars.

The 1/4 oz is the sweet spot for me. I’m about 50/50 when it comes to 1oz vs frac. No gold backs for me

This was very encouraging to me. I do have silver, but the gold seemed hard to break into. I will go see my LCD tomorrow and see what 1g and 1/10 oz he has available.

Great thoughts on fractional gold! Liquidity is an important factor that many overlook. Goldbacks are cool, but I don’t really buy them. Thanks 365!

fractional to me is simply too much premium... the way i kinda think about it is if my non-existent 1oz gold coin is too much then i would just use silver. im assuming silver value went up also in price like gold in this scenario of course.

I have a goal to fill a tube of each, 1/10, 1/4, 1/2, & 1 ounce. I started with one ounce as well, but changed direction and have been focusing on 1/10, & 1/4. 1st

I agree with a fractional gold and silver I'm doing that exactly same thing fractional gold and silver much more easier to use it as a currency in the near future than the large bulky gold you could even classify fractional gold and silver as small change

Hey I saw those byb gram gold bars. I just got mine in along with 31 grams of silver, they sat in customs for almost 2 weeks 😅 but I just got to see them for the first time, I love the stuff he makes!

I just made a goldback video a few days ago, but never posted it. I want to re-do it. Agreed that they are kind of a novelty.
FYI, They wont rip easily. They are very durable as they are mixed with a polymer. I plan to fold one up and carry it in my wallet to test it. That will be my $4 experiment.

Those goldbacks look really fragile but so beautiful. I’d be afraid something even as small as a cabbage spider might damage it though.
