There's a Setting in your hammer's build menu (bottom row) that allows you to directly Upgrade lower tier wood foundations right up to the better stuff without the need to chop/remove/replace !!
Also- if your Bow is Cocked, you can RIGHT-Click to un-cock the bow without having to shoot and pickup the arrow (saves on possible lost arrows)
Same with your Throw hook, if you've THROWN and it's clearly a miss, you can right click to withdraw the hook to re-throw without the hook taking damage
Early Game while you still are struggling for Storage options, you can kill the shark, take ONLY the 4 meat and leave the head which will cause the body to hang around a few mins longer, buying you LONGER time to pillage underwater, not bothered by the Shark (Late game the Shark heads are one of the BEST sources of Bio-Fuel, ) so save the heads as soon as you can, but it helps early on to leave them attached to the carcass

Word of advise to anyone starting this:
Collection nets are more effective in a cross pattern, rather than stretching out your raft indefinitely in one direction.
With a cross of nets you can guarantee to catch anything passing under your raft without missing anything.

As someone who hasnt played that much Raft yet, this video is not only amazing to watch but also great for following u in ur way of playing the game and learning one or two things along the way. I love the way u made the video with the music and narrating some things at the same time. Couldve watched this for many hours more and Im hyped to watch the next part👍

Few tips I learned. For you or newer players. Kind of a lot to read but it's worth it for improving gameplay.
1) When you kill the shark next to an island. Loot everything but the head. Once you loot the head the respawn timer starts. If you leave the head the de-spawn timer (5-minutes) has to go and then the respawn timer (3-minutes) starts. That will give you around 8 minutes of shark free collecting.
2) Chests - Build 3 walls like a closet without the door. Put the chests on the left and right side but not the back. Now you have 8 double chests on 1 raft plank saving you a lot of room.
3) Space - You can also hang the starter grill and water purifier on walls. Another tip for saving room early on.
4) Smelters - You can place smelters on shelf planks you put down. The ones that go halfway on the wall. Then you can put a smelter on top and underneath. having 2 smelters in a single plank space.
5) Trash Compactor - You need to build up a certain amount in the trash compactor. Which is 150. Every item has its own value. Planks and leaves are among the lowest while clay bricks (wet or dry) is 60 points per brick, wool is 75 points per, and Titanium is worth 75 for ore and 94 for ingots. Don't waste titanium thought. Stick with the wool or clay bricks.
6 Biofuel - Like the trash compactor, you need to build up a certain number of points to make 1 biofuel. The basic can hold up to 400 points and you need 200 for 1 biofuel. Raw food also like the compactor has number values. Heads being the highest and potatoes and beats being the lowest. All animal heads aside from Mama Bear, Alpha, and Pufferfish are worth 200. Puffer is 300, Alpha and Mama are worth 600. In my opinion sharks are the best animal for this. Shark heads are worth 200 and shark meat is worth 125. So, 1 shark head and 1 honey gives you 1 biofuel when it processes.
