Lord Krishna says NO EXCUSES! Bhagavad Gita Inspiration | Mahabharat

Why did Shree Krishna speak the Bhagavad Gita in the battleground? Why did he choose the Mahabharat war to convey His eternal message?

The most difficult setting in the realm of Maya, this material world is the battleground. It can’t get worse than that. Arjun was able to implement Karma Yog after listening to the Bhagavad Gita from Lord Krishna and surrendering to Him during the Mahabharata. Even in this most formidable situation, if one can be spiritual, then no one can make excuses that I am not able to practice spirituality in the 21st century.

Spirituality does not mean giving up work. Whether one is a student or a householder, while living in the world, we can divinize every work of ours by following Shree Krishna’s instructions of Karma Yog. No excuses! Let us try to practice devotion to God every day.

That’s a good point. Most of the guys you meet who have come through the worst combat you can imagine have either no spirituality and are destroyed by it, or the highest spirituality and character you can find in spite of it. Holocaust survivors, wwii, afghanistan—it’s true of all of them.

We think their experiences have made them that way and admire it and end up glamorizing it, but their actions have created that, and God honors it in them with His highest graces because it is the hardest place to practice right actions. Those who are destroyed by it are far commoner, in war and in life in general. God bless us all and grace our will to do the right thing with the eyes to see it as such when it stares back at us. 🙏🏻
