I have the original, and I am glad to see they updated the motherships to have plugs instead of snapping in. All my motherships ended up broken as a result.
Fortunately the makers provided rings to repair the ships.

This is an awesome game. However, the best thing that I loved about Catan was that it was a great gateway game. This version of Catan is A LOT more heavy.
