Tip from a chef. Get the pan REALLY hot before adding your steak. The pan should be almost smoking. Season the steak with salt on both sides and let it sit for about 3-4 minutes. The moisture drawn out of the steak by the salt helps create a nice brown crust when it hits the super hot pan.

Australian here, that's cooked perfectly, roos are mostly muscle and have very little fat that's why it's so red. If you cook it any longer it becomes very tough
