By the time we arrive at Blacksite, we're not the only one in here. One of the starting lines mentions that overseers currently managing multiple teams, plus there's various ambient sounds hinting on it: anglers moving at the background, turrets shooting, frantical running that suddenly stops and other things that i don't remember/didn't encounter.
So, it makes me wonder: canonically, player delivers the crystal at first try, so... What happens to other expendables then? It's clearly said that only one who will deliver the crystal would be pardoned, so, knowing that Urbanshade isn't exactly the nice corporation, chance that they got their PDG's detonated is really high.
