I’m not going to sugar-coat it. I feel bad for both Dr. Fuji and Mewtwo on both their ends.

Mewtwo thought all humans were the same, but he comes to find out that not all humans are the same as us being born with the gift of life is what determines who we are and he goes on to learn with his heart what Ash’s heart knows so well, and preserves peace between himself and humans who are as kind and true-hatred as Ash, while trying to avoid Giovanni as much as possible.

Dr. Fuji? He wanted to see his daughter Amber again after she was killed in a car accident or hit by a car. He dedicated his life to cloning. He agreed to help Giovanni clone a most powerful Pokémon after he funded Dr. Fuji’s project, while he would have something much more: how to clone and preserve the alternative structure, to keep the genetic double as real as the original. He had hoped to discover how Mewtwo survived the cloning process and unlock the secret, in which he could use to use that exact same thing for Amber, which was all he ever wanted, and then his wife, who loved Amber also, left him and bid him farewell leaving him a John Deere letter and her ring with the letter, even though the doctor continued on with his dedication. Dr. Fuji however didn’t die in vain, as being all he wanted was to see his daughter Amber again, and at least, in a way, he’s getting to see her again.
