LEGO Marvel Eternals Rise of the Domo (76156) - 2021 Set Review

Today, we're taking a closer look at the upcoming LEGO Marvel Eternals set, Rise of the Domo. This set will be releasing on October 1st and was sent to me early from LEGO / LAN for review.

This looks like one of those sets nobody is going to look for on release but the moment it retires will be a sought out item.

1:24 Technically the last time we got a build in this style was with Steppenwolf back in 2017 with the Justice League sets.

I think that like Shang chi, my interest in the sets will hinge on how much I enjoy the movie, hopefully it wows us!

I think LEGO should start make more Asian style faces instead of using existing pieces and skin tone to accurately represent the characters. Rn the heads they’re using represent someone that isn’t Asian. Like using Lex Luther/ Loki face for an Asian character as well as maybe more faces in general because every LEGO figure looks the same to me now.

I believe that what you thought was the weapons room is actually Makkari's collection of human stuff, like from the trailers. I could tell because there's a coffee machine, chair, karaoke machine, umbrella, crowbar, video game controller, and metal detector. I don't know if anyone figured that out yet but yeah :)

The Eternals sets are some of the best and most unique sets from Marvel in a while, and this is my favorite of the 4 sets

I don't care much about this movie but that purple robe guy's torso and leg can make a pretty decent IW Tchalla. And the head looks great for Bloodsport purist custom, just need to put it on Taskmaster's torso. Why that guy is exclusive?:(

This line of sets is pretty cool, except Sprite all of the Eternals minifigures have leg printing 👍

The mini figs kinda look like the power rangers from the live-action movie 🤔

I’m excited, especially to see people MOC Ikarus so he’s more movie accurate.

This set looks great it’s what Thanos ship should have been but still good regardless

Compared to a recent star-ship i.e Moff Gideon Star Destroyer, this uses interior space much better, in my opinion!

Ash: We haven't seen a figure like this for superheroes for quite some time, since Groot and the Sentinel back in 2014.

We actually saw a buildable figure more recently. The lego Stephenwolf was the same style. I know that is DC Superheroes but it is still lego superheroes which is all that was said.

I think the ship itself looks cool and I like that it comes wit most of the figures.
I think the Ikaris figure is a mistake.
I also don't care for the bad guys included, Lego bad guys in Marvel sets particularly with the No Way Home and Guardians Ship sets only feel like they are there out of obligation to maje the more explensive or to have conflict in the set itself as a play feature.
