Why Do Most Mandalorians Get ONE SHOTTED, Despite wearing Beskar Armor?

#starwars #themandalorian #shorts

As we see in the Mandalorian, Din Djarin and even Boba Fett are able to take countless hits to their armor because of a rare, but prized material known as Mandalorian Iron, or simply Beksar. The Mandalorians took a liking to this material because of its ability to block and resist the blades of Lightsabers, which were the weapons of their ancient sworn enemies, the Jedi Order.

So why were the Mandalorians during the Clone Wars getting one shotted left and right?

Well the answer lies in the purity of their armor. By the time of the Clone Wars, Beskar metal was already becoming an increasingly rare resource due to centuries of overmining, making it extremely expensive and prized. Because of this, Many mandalorians, or at least the ones who still held to the warrior wars during the pacifist rule of Duchess Satine, were forced to dilute their armors with other less strong metals like durasteel.

The armor of Sabine Wren was clearly forged with very high amounts of pure Beskar, as she was able to take two deflected blaster bolts to the chest from Darth Vader, and Din Djarin’s is forged from the purest of Beskar, making him immune from fire.

The amount of beskar mando got at the beginning of the series most clans would’ve killed for during the clone wars

Imagine dying because someone watered down your armor

Just the value and amount alone would make Din a walking national treasure

Boba's beskar armour is his father's, and it's possible there's a long lineage of wearer's before Jango, and Din's armour was all forged on screen from beskar. The only other Mandalorian we see that can tank shots like Din and Boba is Sabine, and surprise surprise her armour is beskar and has ALSO been passed down her lineage. The only armour left that's made from pure beskar (apart from Din's, but his is a special case) are the sets passed down through family lines over generations. The rest are either an alloy of beskar and durasteel or just durasteel

Beskar armour is essentially plot armour but explained in lore

It's good armor, but it's not the plot armor kind.

You said Sabine took two deflected bolts from Vader to the chest, but if you look again, she took one to the chest and one to the forehead!

For reference, some sources site a full suit of pure beskar as being comparable in value to some destroyers. Basically, he’s wearing Star Wars Mjollnir armor

This might be a good theory. Mandalorians armours are inherited from the older generations, Known mandalorians such as Sabine (in rebels), Bo-Katan (in Mandalorian), and Boba Fett (in Mandalorian) confirmed this. It is highly probable that most Mandalorians armor are fully beskar, because when Ezra suggested to craft the armor out of something besides beskar, Mandalorians were highly offended. Though it has been confirmed as well that some mandalorian armors are made out of Durasteel as well, perhaps due to different belief of mandalorians (the same as not taking off your helmet)

Additionally, some mandalorians have more than one armor. As we can see, Bo-Katan has 2-3 different armors in TCW, Rebels, and Mandalorian. Gar Saxon, Tristan, and Ursa had at least 2 different armors.

Ahsoka in TCW never aimed her lightsaber at mandalorian armors because she knew it would be pointless. She always aimed at the joint or the jetpack, if you noticed.

Both Sabine and Gar Saxon in Rebels showed that their armors were able to resist blaster fires from normal blasters.

However, in Jedi Fallen Order it was mentioned that “With right calibration, a blaster could pass right through Mandalorian armor.”. It can be assumed that only Mandalorian knows the right calibratuon to penetrate the armor. Thus, the reason why clones in season 7 was able to kill mandalorians (probably because Bo-Katan’s Mandalorian told them), and also the reason why a mandalorian could kill another mandalorian (Gar Saxon’s death)

Sabine's armor was passed down to her.

To sum it up, the mandolorians who died instantly only had unstrengthened beskar. While the mandolorians who were able to survive blaster hits had the beskar used in their armor strengthened using specialized techniques to form it into what is know as "plot armor".

I love that Vader deflected those shots into two fatal points lol. The first one you gotta walk off, the second you gotta be built different.

I can't believe how insanely strong blaster fire is in SW like I'm pretty sure technology should be up to Star Trek levels with that intensity

Sabine even said, that her armor was inherited by her family for centuries, so the high purity of beskar is not weird thing.

A lot of the warrior-class mandalorians also had ancestral armor passed down, meaning that armor has seen countless of battles and countless of repairs. Not always with the best materials
