She stepped down from Strictly this week because of a foot injury. Amy Dowden joins Lorraine in the studio and reveals how she’s feeling after saying goodbye to her partner JB and why this might not be the last time we see her this series.

Ah gutted for her getting a foot injury .. remember this is completely separate from cancer… she was fine to dance again or she wouldn’t have been allowed. Loved watching Amy and JB this year and I think he did so well because he wanted to for Amy, perhaps the pressure of winning is off him sightly and he can enjoy the rest of his journey.. we r getting a bit more of the personality now that pressure is lifted I feel though I’m sure he loves Lauren he would hav rather stayed in with Amy as his partner. I know Lorraine was just helping her keep it together for the few minutes they have of interview time and they both did exceptionally well on this interview. U will dance again amy, take it easy and wait it out til t time is right ❤️

With hindsight it might have been easier on Amy after all her gruelling treatment to have been given an older contestant needing simpler /slower dances. Amy and Luba should have had each others partners - Luba with JB and Amy with Nick Knowles. Lauren will be amazing with JB and take things up to another level now.

Great to see Amy better, think she came back far too early after her treatment . Unfortunately there are millions of other woman going through this and getting back to to full fitness will take much more than a year . Would have been better for her to be a dancer on the show then come back in a couple of years time if fit enough for the gruelling regime the dancers and celebrities have to go through . Unfortunately after certain cancer treatments your never going to be at the full fitness you were before . For me, the show shouldn't have taken her on so soon after her treatment, too much pressure on Amy and her body . If Amy wants to keep dancing, then maybe she could set up her own dance school ? I think she would be fab at something like that ❤❤🙏🏽🙏🏽

Wishing her well and a speedy recovery, it was too soon, as lacking from the start …. The difference when JB danced with Lauren was so apparent, not sure who’s decision to put Amy as a pro partner this year ? Not well thought out or considerate imo. She could’ve just done the group dances, and eased in gently.
