I met Terry in Salem Oregon. Got his autograph on the Crossroads Soundtrack. What a wonderful sweet man with gold for a voice. Beautiful!

Has anyone given much thought to this song? For the benefit of the young folks just discovering this today, I'll say that it sure hits differently when you realize that it comes out of a time when interracial relationships were still very, very frowned on in the United States.

Beautiful version, his delivery is so soulful and really hits home. I first heard his fabulous voice on the Ry Cooder albums and then the releases he did with Bobby King, all of his work was top notch. So sad to hear of his passing. Thank you so much for posting and reminding me of musics loss.
