I’m in Toronto, I have a Taycan and they are extremely rare here. In 4 years I’ve only seen less than 10!! People ask me if I have a panamera - that’s how rare it is. I get stopped constantly- people gawking and amazed at how beautiful the car is. I absolutely love it and don’t care about depreciation - this is not a stock or a home. It’s a car. Drive it and enjoy it!! I didn’t even realize the car didn’t have a volume button until you just said it LOL!! I drive alone for the most part and I use the steering wheel to increase the volume! I completely forgot about the wireless charger too! I’m coming from a brand new BMW M4 cabriolet- I’m an enthusiast!! Those things don’t bother me. Good video. Thanks for sharing! 🙌🏾

I hate the small, flimsy sun visors … they should put dual sun visors in all cars (like in the cayenne) … this car also could use larger exterior mirrors … center storage bin has the worst-ever door … it needs USB & 12-volt ports outside of the storage bin … frameless doors are moronic … glass roof without a closing cover is stupid … music software is sooo frustrating and cumbersome … steering wheel stalks and drive-mode buttons on console are not backlit — horrible design cuz you can’t see settings at night … orange airbag lights by mirror are blinding at night and make it hard to see out rearview mirror … driver footwell is cramped … rear camera view is horrible … instrument panel “tubes” are not as versatile in Porsche ICEVs…

Here in the US a used Taycan won't even fetch a buyer. My '22 RWD was 115K MSRP, now 2 1/2 years later I'm offered 48K by dealsers and Carmax. There are no private buyers for my car or any EV for that matter.I rarely see any Taycans here in Central Florida. Unless I hit a big Lottery never again!

I agree that it's a bit of a shame that the Taycan has become so very common in some areas — I live in what would be considered a bit posh area, and I see a couple of Taycans every time I just drive to the grocery store and back (a few days ago I counted five Taycans in the parking lot, which is not that big). I also have a C7 RS6, and that car is way more rare today, it's even unusual to see another of those around when driving into the city (Stockholm) back and forth.

I also agree on the price devaluation — my Taycan is a GTS Sport Turismo that is very well equipped; it listed for SEK 1, 9M and 1, 5 years later I bought it from the initial owner for SEK1, 2M. The car I had before the Taycan was a Cayman GTS 4.0 PDK — a great car that I really loved, but as a complete package the Taycan is even better (I would describe it like 2/3 Cayman and 1/3 RS6 :-)!

Porsche makes drivers cars. That said the volume knob on the steering wheel is quite good. Only my passengers use the +/- buttons on the lower center screen. Screen Navigation using the bottom screen is very difficult, but I do use the handwriting recognition to enter map navigation points of interest, especially when voice recognition fails in some names.
Yes Porsche options are crazy, but it can be very bespoke. I have like 40 options specked on my 2020 4S.
But it drives like nothing else.
Kris, do you belong to a Porsche Club in Norway? They are quite fun.

Agree with most of them. Volumeknob is not a problem. There is a gesture you can use on the screen also, think it's two fingers swipe up and down. Never used it. Glad I have the mamba green one. Sticks out a bit more. Mostly black and grey ones in Oslo.

Awesome video brother. The situation in Oslo is really special indeed. Porsche Headquarters should probably move here... LOL

Things no 1-5: not being able to sell it without taking a bloodbath😅

A handful of tech gripes here and there but the arm rest is an affront to God. This is anti-human design with the audacity to put a half-assed wireless phone charger in there as well. At the very least the arm rest design should be flipped so the driver can access it easily with their index finger, not with their thumb and then proceed to contort their arm in an unnatural way to get access to it. This alone drives me up the God damn wall.

#1 should be the fact that it's an EV. I love the way it looks but if you like to drive or take your vehicle anywhere besides the grocery store, you're screwed. You have to hunt for charging stations, pray that one is available, then pray that it will work, and if you are able to pass through all of those hurdles, you have to take a nap while it charges. If you talk to a tow truck driver, their #1 customers are EV owners. I'm sure there are people with a lot of time and money and they want to look cool so they opt for an EV. But for the rest of the world, they are a useless paperweight that can be bricked with a software update or electrical gremlin. Zero appeal other than looks and straight line speed. It's also very dangerous as they are known for spontaneous combustion. They turn into a fireball from hell that literally cannot be extinguished. I wouldn't want that risk sitting in my garage.

I'm surprised you didn't mention the camera quality. Not only are the fisheye views difficult to gauge the car's location relative to external objects, but the 1970s pixelated resolution is a disgrace. Not many Taycans here in Montreal.

Basically you're upset you can't sell it without depreciation and that there are so many in Oslo? I mean even your Rolex is the budget model and I believe you are not upset that many people also have it, right? In the end the Taycan is a family car. Get a GT2 if you're into Porsches or a budget-friendly Lotus Emira.

I have e beautiful CT 4s, 3 years old. Bought new. Extremely good car. Bougth a Tesla Mod X for my wife in addition for a 1/3 of the new price!. The EV-car depreciation is not only for Porsche! The mod X: Beautiful and very spacious car, roomy for my grand children. Drow it through whole Europe. 6 seats, and enormous space. 6 people and the dog. No sweat!

So it is not only Porsche that depreciates. I think though that this will flatten out. Sooner or later, people will understand that to buy a CT now is a bargain that won't last! The price will go up again! Same with Merced EQS - a bargain now!

PS: I have a red CT 4s, no roof reelings, and red featured roof, no glass roof! Outlined as a GT-wagon. Drive it in France, and people are reallly glancing and asking! Like driving a Ferrari! Not seen any other Porsche EVs - here.

WOW! There are 43... yes, 43 total Cross Turismos for sale in the entire United States listed on Autotrader. I've had my eye on these for a while. Maybe it's time to buy used ;-)

I am very surprised how common it is in Oslo to own a Taycan but I can't stop laughing when you highlight this fact, thanks for making my day.

I went away from Porsche as the squeaks and rattles got on my nerves as I couldn't justify the price in comparison of what I actually and factually (putting away all the legacy carmaker hype stuff) got.... I strongly recommend everyone to detach just for a moment from the luxury/fancy/I am so special in this car side of things and test drive some electrical car maker experts! It's amazing what can be observed. Just my 2 cents....

That’s why I bought mine second hand! It’s a 2021 RWD with tons of optionals. Paid 64k euros 😊. It has the battery perormance plus, Bose, PASM, coated brake, the freaking awesome 21” wheels and other stuff. I couldn’t be happier

The most uncomfortable back seats in history. That curve back is very uncomfortable

The useless estate boot?

The piano gloss black?

The meh range ?

The colour 🤢

The way you crack you knee on entry on that daft sharp point

Is that 7?
