Fun with the Untappd API - Generate GeoJSON with Python and Display on Map

I recently reached 1000 unique beer check ins on the Untappd app! I figured I would make a video focused on using the Untapped API. In this video we use Python to make a request to the API, parse the response, generate a GeoJSON file and then view the GeoJSON on a map. Code available on my Github!

I'm new to Python (and programming in general) and one of the projects I was most excited to take on back when I started around this time last year, was to analyze my Untappd data. Being a newbie, I quickly got discouraged and put it on the back burner until I got more proficient. Now as I return I immediately find this video. This was SUPER helpful.

Nice ! But did you get the location from the beer brewery or from the check in place ? Sometimes it’s different like At Home.
