Johnny Cash | Happy Birthday

Johnny Cash was one of the most influential and popular country singers of all time. He was born on February 26, 1932 in Arkansas and grew up in a poor farming family. He learned to play guitar and sing at an early age and joined the Air Force in 1950.

Cash started his musical career in Memphis, Tennessee, where he met Sam Phillips of Sun Records. He recorded his first hit, “Hey Porter”, in 1955 and soon became famous for his distinctive voice and style. He wore black clothes and sang songs about love, loss, faith, prison, and social issues. He was known as “The Man in Black” and had a loyal fan base.
