FIX for Elgato - 'Streaming server could not connect'

The annoying error started happening to me yesterday OUT OF NOWHERE. I tried all kinds of things.

I did NOT have to uninstall or reinstall my Elgato software - FYI.

I called Elgato support and the dude that helped me, walked me through through these steps.

BTW the July update on the Elgato page that mentions the Twitch Authorization fix did NOT help.

NOTE: You may have to redo this process a few times as you start and stop streaming, but it DOES work. If your Elgato freezes up just CTRL/ALT/DLT and close out... go back in, delete the account and repeat the process. I've had to do this. I'll get a "500 Internal error" and I'll have to redo the process but it does work after I redo it.

I was about to break my elgato because it was getting me heated that it wouldn’t work and then very body here on YouTube that I kept searching I would try their method and it didn’t even work for me when I tried their way. THANK YOU FOR THE HELP. After 9 months of streaming totally fine I just ran into this exact issue where I was getting an error 404 please check your internet connection every time I tried to start up my stream on Elgato when connected on my Twitch account.
This solution worked instantly for me. :)
