I got this special for Christmas back when I was 4, and it was the 1st Muppet Special I ever watched. Before then I only saw the Muppets through ads on other VHSs, including a clip from the Muppet Show at the end of my Jungle Book VHS. Until I saw this special, I was terrified of Miss Piggy, because that Muppet Show clip ended with her whacking Kermit across the stage.

I recently found my old VHSs of this and the Muppet Christmas Carol (my number 1 favourite Christmas film) after I thought they were lost for years. This special will now be part of my annual binge-watching sessions of Christmas films.

I remember always being confused at Jim Henson's cameo at the end when I was a child since I didn't know who he was. But after seeing it again as an adult, it's actually really awesome to see.
