Cellular and Molecular Mechanisms of Peripheral Nerve Regeneration

In this video abstract, Isaacman-Beck et al. use in vivo imaging to examine whether and how regenerating axons return to their original targets. The authors report on the existence of a cellular mechanism that promotes target-selective regeneration, and they identify two genes of a genetic pathway critical for target-selective regeneration.
