Although Fields of Mistria wears its inspiration on its sleeve, it isn't just another Animal Crossing, Harvest Moon, or Stardew Valley. Here are 16 things I wish I knew before starting Fields of Mistria.

@5:50 it’s mentioned that Stardew Valley allows for two gifts a day, however it’s only one gift a day. The two boxes are there to indicate how many gifts you’ve given that week. So one gift per day, up to two gifts per week.

I dont think the gifting criticism in comparison to stardew is valid. Unlike how you suggest that stardew allows 2 gifts per day because there are 2 boxes, that is actually only 2 gifts per WEEK. So mistria actually allows you to gift more often than stardew does since you can gift 1 per day making it 7 per week.

As living in the countryside I really like a farming games like Story of Seasons, Harvest Moon or Stardew Valley and this new Field of Mistria looks surprisilly good better than even Stardew Valley because this game have a besutiful art style and characters i'm not a farmer, but I like Farming games! 😊❤

I know a lot of these farming/life sims are indie & lower budget, but just once I'd love for characters to be voice acted.

It's like the one thing missing for me that would really push these over the top. Maybe even if it was added AFTER the game became a huge commercial success.

I feel like the NPC characters could have so much more personality & life shine through if it was more than just quiet text boxes.

Obviously, they can be great games regardless, so it's not make or break, it'd just be nice & make relationships feel more enjoyable.

I haven't even watched this video; I am paused at the 0:06 mark but even I can tell that the biggest mistake this game has made is coming out after Stardew Valley.

Competition is great but Stardew found a hole in the gaming market left by Harvest Moon's decline. It is completely possible for Fields of Mistria to find an audience but that means competing against Stardew at It's peak.

I really hope it works out for both games but the comment section here paints a rather grim picture.
