Thanks for the heads up. I had a Dell B/W laser printer in which I bought an off brand cartridge after I had shaken the cartridge multiple times to get all of the toner out of the original (there is some static electricity that holds the toner to the sides, so shaking it can sometimes extend the life of the cartridge). It worked...until it didn't. I bought replacement toner and refilled it; worked just fine. HERE's a pro tip. Don't be in a hurry to fill it! My first attempt I made a huge mess by squeezing the bottle too hard. With it firmly pressed against the opening, there was no place for the air to go, so there was blow back...all over the place. At least I had the forethought to do this in my garage. So, I slowed down, tilted the bottle of toner a little to allow some of the air to leave, and allowed the toner to basically fall/flow into the cartridge. I filled it to the brim, and it worked for over a year; money well spent I'd say.
I'm hoping going this route will be the same as I'm almost out of each color. Oh yeah...tip #2...at least wear gloves, and possibly a mask in case you have toner flying everywhere! LOL
