Interesting use of 2011-2014 of dodge charger headlights with ford f-series powertrain and dashboard.

I paid $2500 for my 36’ diesel pusher class A motorhome. Still had to put another $13k into fixing it up. Oh and it’s a 1996. 🤣 Nice rigs, great review video!

Andre, you are hounds down, without a doubt the best, most informative and entertaining truck reviewer ever. Thanks for all your hard work!
Best regards, Lloyd C.

Wow, they both have Dodge Charger headlights! Its always a fun game while on a road trip to guess what vehicle the headlights and taillights were sourced from on a motorhome!

I will take the older V 10 my motorhome pulls the grapevine 55 mph at 3500 RPM pulling the Jeep behind it just fine only sounds like it works hard when you’re trying to get it up over 60 going up a really steep grade other than that on flat ground V 10 is a dream

Got a class c 24 foot v10 love it don't drive over 55 because I usually have a cocktail in my right hand 9 miles to the gallon you push it and it drops.

SO glad we bought our class C in fall of 2019 (2020 model) with legacy Ford V-10. They were dealing on motorhomes then with no crazy shortages.
My go-to mechanic works on small transit buses with the Ford V-10. He said they are very reliable, easy to work on and time tested... the engine production lasted 20 years for good reason.
Installing Noico and Kilmat is a MUST for sound insulation... small motorhomes are brutally noisy!!

I have a 2001 Minnie Winnie with the ford v-10. I was a mechanic my whole working life and although I was skeptical of the V-10 at first, I have to say it is a juggernaut. It’s not real powerful, it likes revs, and it’s kind of loud…….but absolutely no issues. I change the oil after every trip, maintain my fluids, change belts when needed, simple things all engines require, but it is a beautiful engine. It does not use or burn a drop of oil. I’ve had to change my PCV valve and re-route my vacuum system for ECS control, simple matters, other than that……nothing. Even though it is going on 25 years old.

I just recently had the chance to drive 2 26 foot Uhauls recently from Summerville Georgia to Pelion South Carolina. The old 6.8 was amazing as far as hauling weight and getting the job done but the 7.3 Godzilla one had almost equal weight in it. And was much quicker off the line and had better performance overall. The only downside was it actually drank more fuel than the 6.8 v10 but I would loose a couple mpg without issue having the extra performance the 7.3 provides plus it sounds better toting a load!

Just add the 3.0 Whipple to the 7.3L and you’re good to go.

That 7.3 exhaust note is amazing, especially for a motor home!

I think in an unloaded pickup truck the 6.8 will probably be almost exactly the same, but with a vehicle this large and with all the weight it's moving and air it's pushing, that's where the 7.3 is really supposed to shine. I'd be interested to see a side by side fuel mileage test on these pretty much identical vehicles with the two different engines.

As a former diesel mechanic who had to work on RV's. Do not buy one with the radiator in the back. If you must have one of these then at least find one with a radiator that faces the sides of the RV. If mechanics need to access the engine in the back and the radiator is in the way. You will have to pay for the rear end to be disassembled and the radiator removed before the techs can even start on the engine. You are looking at allot more money in the repair just from man hours on jobs that will most likely already be expensive to begin with.

I was never a fan of the V10 but there are performance packages such as headers and larger exhausts for the V10.

Nice review Andrea. I would have liked a decibel rating at 70mph. Some of the class As could be contributors to hearing loss.

Love your attention on the RV world~ I'm going nomad with one of these soon & your reviews are helping a lot. Trying to decide between a 6.7 Cummins or saving money with the 7.3 Ford~ I'd love to see a Gauntlet test on these engines! So many RV reviewers don't even MENTION the powertrain other than it being gas or diesel~ I know that you will FOCUS on that!

I'd love to see a comparison of the last of the 460 powered RVs to the 2020&2021

Andre I just purchased a 2020 Class C RV with the V10! Thinking about purchasing the 5star tuning for it in the spring.
