For those looking for a flipper zero, but it's sold out, the flipper zero is an easy-build pentest tool but with the functions it has, u can find those tools still online for much cheaper. Like just an individual card cloner instead of a multi-tool. Cheers

I just came back from a trip and cloned my key as well with my flipper zero. It takes a while sometime depending on the card it took mine like 30 minutes it was scanning all the sectors of the RFID card. I love my flipper don't leave home without it !

Tip: Turn your camera the right way when shooting video. Then it won't be door-shaped.

It's interesting but scary. The hotel I stayed at for my last business travel also had hackable locks. If someone clones the cleaners card, he can unlock every room. The doors didn't even have locks from the inside, so you had no way of locking your room at night except putting furniture in from of it to prevent it from being opened.

I really want to get one of these. would be super educational to tinker with my own smart locks at home and friends places. Though all i can find is them for over $400. and that just seems absurd. any advice where a Canadian can find one of these for a fair price?

That's really scary. Most hotels use xheap Mifare Classic 1K cards that were already "hacked" a long time ago. Some also use magnetic cards which the flipper can't read, but they can be copied too.

Can you place multiple IDs/rooms onto the same card?

I've read that some cards don't work with the Flipper (ex. EM-4305).. do you know what cards are compatible?


BTW, what firmware are you using / recommend? Xtreme?

Hotels now have gone to my fair plus cards which the flipper zeros can't copy 😉 cheap hotels may still be rocking the classic cards or magstripe.

Here’s an elaborate plan:

- pickpocket a maintenance staff keycard

- clone staff keycard

- drop keycard on floor somewhere, so the staff believes they dropped it

- access to staff areas anytime

So you clone your own card but when you check out the hotel surely does a reset of that card no ? You cant go back and emulate same card as you need to read it again ! Or am I wrong ?
