In this video, we will be breaking down everything we know about the upcoming HBO Max show 'Welcome To Derry'. This is set to be a prequel to the IT movies and is described as somewhat of an origin story for Pennywise the Clown and the beginning of the town, Derry. Welcome to the Heavy Spoilers show, I'm your host Paul and this video we're breaking down the brand new images from IT Welcome To Derry. If you've been following the channel for a while then you'll know that the first video that really blew us up was the Pennywise one where we pointed out everytime that he was in the background of a scene in IT Chapter 1 and 2. That was the highest viewed video on our channel until Squid Game came along and I've been waiting for years now for us to return back to Derry so I could talk about what I think is the best character in horror. I've read the book 3 times, obsessed over all the intricacies in the movies and I was so hyped to see that we were getting a show centred around Derry back when it really transformed into a town.

These new images look great and throughout this video we're gonna be going through them all to talk about what they tell us about the show. I'm also gonna be going over what we know about the series as well and there's so much to talk about.

If you haven't heard the Audiobook of IT, with Steven Webber doing the vocals... man, give it a try. I love the book, but throwing in the audiobook at least every two or three years still hits like for me!!

I'm so excited for this show! I really hope we get a little bit of the origin of Pennywise. It's a shame Bill Skarsgard won't be back, according to the pictures they are using his take on Pennywise which is smart. I just hope the new actor can atleast do IT justice

“Zenith” was a brand of color television and other home appliances. That’s why it’s included on the appliance store sign, appearing exactly as it had been used in advertising. The Z being a stylized lighting bolt. Zenith is owned by LG today and is the US research and development branch of LG.

It’s a damn shame bill won’t be reprising his role, he absolutely nailed his performance of pennywise. Whoever was cast to play pennywise has some massive shoes to fill. I can’t wait to see it and I pray it’s as good if not better than chapter 1.

Finished reading the book for the first time a few days ago and absolutely loved it. Also really enjoyed both the movies but definitely like the book a lot more. Excited to see what they do with this show, since there’s so much interesting history in the book that makes Derry feel so alive.

I was really hoping they would show the exploits of IT when IT arrived in the early times. I wanted to see The Massacres in the Tavern, The Bradley Gang and The Blackspot.

I absolutely love how they're setting this in the 1960s. It's giving me 1990 miniseries vibes. I wish Tim Curry could somehow be involved.

This show could be so much more than just a prequel to “It”. So many of King’s books take place in Derry that “Welcome to Derry”could go on for several seasons. I think that would be a great idea.

You know…when I first heard of this prequel I was very iffy. I’m a big fan of Stephen Kings books, especially IT. Now that I hear more info about this show though, I’m actually pretty excited. I think if it’s done write it’ll definitely be very good

I've rarely looked forward to something so much in my adulthood. One incident that fed my fears from multiple readings of IT was The Black Spot fire. I would love it if this subject is touched upon in a big way, more specifically Dick Hallorann with his role in the series ending off with him telling someone else that his application for Chef at the Overlook was approved. One can only dream right...

Zenith used to be a popular electronics brand. They sold TVs. It makes sense that you'd see it advertised on the side of a building like that. I don't think it's any kind of easter egg.

Derry is really shaping up to more and more to be like a prequel/origin for pennywise. i loved the remake of it. so, i am looking forward to seeing this series.
