The modern-day cover letter is your introduction—of any kind—to the employer.

There are essentially three ways this occurs:

1. Cover Letter
2. Email (with attached resume)
3. Applicant Tracking System (ATS)

Your “cover letter” has three goals:

1. Explain why you’ve contacted the employer.
2. Provide insight on who you are and what you offer.
3. Show enthusiasm and interest in hearing (back) from the employer.

Hi Andrew, off late I have been following your videos on resume, cover letters etc. I just redesigned my resume based on your inputs & wrote a cover letter with exactly(point to point) the same 4 sentences you mentioned in this video & I got the call this morning immediately.
