Here's my summer TBR (for June, July and August) as well as some book-ish and video posting plans I have (and don't have) for the summer!

P.S. I so thought I was going to get stung by a bee when doing the b-roll shots with the books but came out unstung - almost 35 years old and I have yet to be stung by a bee!

I love the idea of a bookish mentor!

I still haven’t read Way of Kings... it’s been on my TBR forever. Might have to tackle that this summer. Evil Under the Sun is a perfect summer read! It’s set on a beach resort.

I’m currently reading My Life with the Liars. It’s so interesting so far. The Westing Game is awesome. Such a fun mystery! The Girl Behind the Red Rope was better than other recent Dekker books, but I think the cult element was the only reason I liked it 😂 It still felt very heavy-handed and weird like many Dekker books though. Sorry, I commented on most of the books you shared haha.

This summer, I’m planning to read more of the books I own. I don’t know if I’ll be able to take advantage of the library as much as I normally do, since we’ll be in a new area and libraries often limit new card holders. So I’ve been saving up books to read. I’m probably most excited to read Skyward by Brandon Sanderson.

This is how I like reading. I have a stack of books I am excited to get to and when I finish one I start another one! I am excited to read The Last Thing He Told Me, the 3rd book in Keepers, and my annual summer tradition of book list books so I can grab some books for our reading material for school. So Honey for a Teens Heart, Read Aloud Revival, The Read Aloud Handbook, and Give Your Child the World are my top couple I will read through and pick a couple of books to tackle as read alouds, audiobooks, or ones we will read separately and discuss.

Would love the Westing Game. I’ve seen it so many times on book tube and I am drawn to older books. I also think my daughter who’s in grade 9 might like it as well.

I'm going to read some Grace Livingston Hill this summer. Haven't read any since I was a teenager reading for our church's summer reading program. Also going to "shop" my bookshelves for books I haven't read yet. Should be a fun summer reading 🙂.

Your videos are always peaceful and relaxing. I hope to read more classics this summer, I started War and Peace last year but I haven't finished it. So I would like to do that. I have a tbr catch up list that I have recently made, which are books/series that I read/started years ago and either reread them or pick up where I left off on them.

I'm going to have to look up a lot of these books because they all sound really good! I'm looking at reading through some graphic novels and also some bigger books in the month of June. I'm tempted to not make any kind of TBR for July and just read whatever I feel like reading. I think I might need it 😅

I loved Last Light, it's my favorite series from Terri Blackstock so far! I'm looking forward to reading Francine Rivers for the first time this summer, and a ton more middle grade
