This isn't a tambourine. It's a pandeiro. To achieve this sound.. you have to tune it low, and mic it. Choose a mic designed for capturing low frequencies. We used a Shure Beta 52 in this recording. On your DAW or mixer, boost the low frequencies a bit, while notching out some of the mids and you will get a sound like this.Enjoy!

That is the Stanton Moore Pandeiro by LP and @ K TZ - it is 12" around and not a Choro Pandeiro. Cool ain't it?!

I think with lp bongos sound better because you have two mini timbales only use one a one Bongo try it...my opinión
