Nev definitely isn't spreading himself too thin and working on too many projects 😂

As a Brit, living in the US in quite a soccer town (Seattle), I think the MLS will always struggle with the lack of promotion and relegation. There is no tension. There are too many games that don't mean much, in England, every single game matters for most teams. The standard and the atmosphere is not too bad, but it's the lack of jeopardy.

Jose Mourinho said years ago that the usa will win a world cup when football (soccer) is the number 1 sport in the country

This is HUGE for us here in the States!!! Poch has a fabulous record of examining talent and building players. He’s knowledgeable and able to do it correctly. Plus he will be given the time to do the job at hand. So excited and great hire!!! The players should be ecstatic to be working with such a wonderful man. Quarterfinal would be massive! Let’s do this!!!

I love how Poch mentions San Francisco as this hot environment that will be hard for team USA. I moved to London from S.F 5 years ago and it constantly amazes people here that California is indeed not hot everywhere.

The biggest hurdle the USMNT have and will always have is the pay to play wall. If you don’t have the resources to pay your way into top level academies, you won’t make it very far. There are very few instances where luck plays its part and someone is discovered, but aside from that it will always be an issue.
