Oooh nothing like a new sketchbook! I have just started a paperblanks olive fairy blank notebook and it is lovely paper with a bit of ‘tooth’ for writing and drawing, but for anything wet or heavy like watercolour pencil I will make on watercolor paper and stick in. So the sketchbook can be just as much a stick-in collage book as drawings. I’m laughing at coincidence - I put black tape in mine also - I used fabric sport strapping tape (my dancer daughter uses so much of it and i. Get the leftovers ! the fabric texture is so nice.

The first page of my Art journals, are always different, and dependent on what's happening in my life, and my mood... Or sometimes it's based on some inspiration I (that's true of each page I do, actually).
I'm frustrated and annoyed with my technical issues preventing me from filming my Junk Journal July Flip through. 😕 I've gone back to my "regular art journal" ... but I will be making another Junk Journal, soon, because the one I use is almost full. (I had a separate junk journal that I made specifically for the JJJ Challenge).
🤔"Wonderful Creative Wednesday" or something like that, maybe? I'm terrible at. naming things.
