Bono: "Lewis we have won the championship. Please do not score any more points."

it's like the they're just taking back part of the prize money

The higher you finish, the more prize money you get. But wait, there's more - you give back more to FIA next year. What a clever scheme :D

Love the content but they need a pop filter or something. I had the volume up and it almost pierced my brain.

$569, 308 is an incredibly random amount of money

It would have been intresting if you had included details of the 2020 season prize money as well, i.e. did each team make a profit or loss?

F1: We need to have a responsible cost cap.
FIA: We don’t do that here....

That would explain Russell’s “puncture” at the Sakhir GP then

Forget this entry fee paid by all teams. The rule of making a new entrant to pay 200 mn. dollars (i.e., 20 mn dollars to each of the current team in the grid) is absolute bollocks!!! No wonder we dont have *absolute* new teams from the ground up in F1

I definitely like the fact that the entry fees are scaled. There are so many positive feedback loops in F1 that reinforce the inequity between teams, its almost necessary to have some negative feedback loops that at least make an attempt to level the field a bit. I also really like the scaled wind tunnel and CFD allotments for the teams that starts this year.

Anyone else notice all the numbers are completely wrong? Apart from Mercedes? They used the $6830 for every team, I never would have noticed if Haas hadn't scored so few points 3x $5691 absolutely isn't over 20k!!

You did your math wrong at 3:33, you have every teams points based fee as if they won the championship.

Anyone else feel as though F1 is maneuvering itself into a state where no one wants to race anymore? And with a $200m new team fee it will be just Mercedes and Ferrari racing by the end of the decade.

Williams playing 4D chess. Not getting any point to pay a lower entry fee😉

the entry Fee should be based on the % of points. For example, in Mercedes would have to pay a lot more and midfield teams like McLaren would pay less, = in greater competition the following year.

Do Racing Point have to pay for the 15 points they were docked?

These figures would be more interesting if we also had the prize money to compare.
