About Bruderhof Music...

Welcome to our new channel: Bruderhof Music. Hopefully you are as excited about it as we are!

Warning: expect randomness - our repertoire is extremely large and varied! Our community’s song collections comprise multiple volumes including songs that make us happy, that help us mark special occasions, songs for specific seasons and holidays, songs and music that we use in worship, and songs that celebrate nature and good old everyday life.

The people of the Bruderhof are a pretty random bunch: a mix of cultures and nationalities spread out across the globe in Australia, England, Germany, South Korea, and different parts of the United States, and our music collections both affirm music as a great common denominator, and also reflect a little of that medley since members have joined from all over the world bringing with them cultural traditions that have influenced our communities over the course of our hundred-year history.

But few, if any, of us are professional singers, instrumentalists, or music producers – so kindly cut us some slack on that score....

And now, there's nothing left to do but dive in and learn some new songs (or revisit old favorites) and here's hoping that one day we will get the opportunity to sing them together!

I find the music worships our God in a very natural way and a peaceful setting created by God.

Please add a recording of the song "We Would Be Building" to this YouTube channel. We visited a community in New Meadow Run and it was absolutely transformational to hear the community sing this beautiful song.

Melinda is a pretty feminine lady showing how to have a good the way we should. Torchlight, a little citronella oil in it. A fire. Some BBQ chicken and marshmallows to roast. Ahhhh, that's the way to do it! Thanks for sharing, 😉.

I had to make another comment, 😉. You guys are familiar with your way of living, it could be taken for granted. Yet there's many people that are surrounded by darkness, bad experiences and such things. Which to see a positive way of life, youre video would fit right in with Laura and the Bruderhoff as well as the other couple.
So many think of rigidity, hardness, other things when thinking of Christianity. Which Bruderhoff seem.possibly more relaxed. At the same time, you guys doing the video recordings might be the more positive side as there's bound to be other less pleasant sides. Yet its good for fresh air.
Consider like some, all they see is darkness or a lot of it, which cultivates a negative aura, where defences and such are put up. Again, no doubt there's personal quirks and such, but it'd be good to see something lighter.

This says 4 months ago. Why not put more on it? It'd be good to hear and see what entertainments you have as well as listening to songs. At least do not forget Christmas. Granted unless you're into actually recording, following caroling could take away from the person operating the camera. Unless put inside a wagon, buggy with soft tires and padding beneath the stand holding the camera and pulled behind.
Look at all the content on you tube, then understand if someone shows something good, it gives another choice.😉. It'd be good to see more clean, innocent pleasures. At the same time, you may have good reason not to, but if not an issue, it could brighten things up.
