Ex-secret service members comment on Trump assassination attempt

Jeff James, a retired U.S. Secret Service agent, says that at a political rally like the one that was the site of an assassination attempt on former U.S. president Donald Trump the agency is responsible for securing the site and giving instructions to local law enforcement. Lynda Williams, the former deputy assistant director of the U.S. Secret Service, says she would look back through each step of the security plan to see 'where the lapse occurred' that enabled a gunman to target the former president.
