I grew up in the 1960s and we had a variety of sounds that we listened to from rock, jazz, blues and R&B and no matter how much we listened to the rock, and blues etc, we Always came back to R&B, it was falling in love, it was fun, it was a sway in the hips, it was those parties in our parents'basements, the family reunions and cookouts " and Avery Wilson, young man, like a new soul who has reached back and said "here you go, 😊 I know what you need in this moment" you have brought it all back to us❤ and I can't thank you enough, I am in my kitchen Stepping to your sound and loving being alive in this moment ❤️

He’s right because it was like that for me as well. I was a kid mimicking my favs, until I found my own sound. And that’s my authentic voice. But he’s right it takes time and you go through all of the people you love and you emulate them until you find you. ❤❤❤❤
