EXTREMES AND MODERATION ~ Doing All or Nothing

In this video I'm sharing my recent thoughts on living with moderation. I'm really an All or Nothing person. I always do something for the full 100% or rather not do it at all. I think it's a good thing in many situations (and that's probably the reason why I do this). But in some scenarios it also hinders me. It often makes me feel like I'm either not doing a good enough job or I'm burning myself out. I figured balance and moderation would be the answer to my problem. But now that I've tried to live with more moderation for the past couple of months, I notice it's not that simple. When I do thing moderately I do get more rest and have more time to appreciate the little things in life, but I don't feel as good about my work/myself. It sometimes makes me feel like I'm in a slump.
I have a recent example:
A week ago I saw a video from Ellen where Lady Gaga and Ellen played a game quiz. The question was: Name 3 things you do every single day.
Lady Gaga's answer was: Work out, meditate and sing.
I was really inspired to work out again (every day) after seeing the video, but it still took me an ENTIRE WEEK to actually do it.
In this video I show the first workout I did in a looooong time. It made me feel incredible! So I realized I might need different tools to be completely content with moderation. I usually don't have new years resolutions, but I hope to grow in this area next year. (can you believe it's almost 2023?!?)
Thank you so much for watching! ❤️

Thank you Delala for taking the time to produce such a thought provoking video on the subject of the “all or nothing” approach to doing things in our lives, it has been very useful to watch it. In particular I enjoyed listening to you express the difficulties we can all face with understanding where moderation is for each of us and how we may feel less than OK, less impressed with ourselves when we strive for and achieve moderation, than when we push ourselves to our limits. Maybe even moderation needs to be done in, moderation. Additionally, it is always very motivating to watch you clean and organise your home, bake and go walking as you discuss your topics, it’s as if I’m watching you think out loud as you go through your days, it’s very relaxing and causes me to pay more attention to what it is I’m thinking about as I go through my day. Thank you again for thinking and discussing this subject.😊

Occasionally, moderation can be more wholesome for the mood of the individual. It is never easy to maintain the life in the same pace. We are absolutely supposed to separate more free time to ourselves in order to take a rest and recharging our mind with the matters. Besides, considering all or nothing is one of the most precise approaches in order to retain the coherence. It always enables us to expand the reliability and cogency of the people in the life. One of the most impressive posts that I have watched in your youtube channel. Merry Xmas! I wish you to spend a festive time throughout the new year celebration with your loved ones. Hot greetings from Izmir!

**gasp** the bag tab freezer hack! Oh that's a problem solver. Thanks!
Every yes is a no to something else. To give your all to something means some other area of your life got nothing. Zero.

I’ve sometimes struggled with wanting not only to do everything well, but wanting to do EVERYTHING. I’m learning that it’s good (for me) to pick and choose less things to do at once. In other words, pick fewer things to do, but do them well. That’s not to say I cannot enjoy a variety of different interests, just not all at once. Sometimes I concentrate on my interests in cooking; other weeks I might concentrate more on crafting; then of course there are days I must draw my attention to cleaning. I find this works for me because I don’t feel pushed to do it all at once. Everything gets it’s own concentrated time. Does that make sense?

Thank You~♡
