Wily Adames has been absolutely🔥scorching🔥 the ball lately. I wasn't sure if he'd break his personal Homerun record of 32 if I remember correctly. This entire team has been really coming together since the All-Star break. They've had a hiccup or two here and there, but overall they've really been playing extremely well and not making any big mistakes. Colin Rea has been pitching really well. Tobias Meyers is another one who's been playing great baseball. A.Civale had a rough beginning but he's really settled into his new team and has been absolutely phenomenal over the last few starts. F.Montas is one more example of a really consistent pitcher. DL Hall's return was absolutely incredible! If Freddy Peralta can get back to what he's fully capable of doing, I honestly think this pitching staff, and I still can't believe I'm saying this given the fact that they've had more injuries to their pitching staff, yet they look better now than they did in the beginning of the season! One more reason and example of how Awesome of a job Pat Murphy has done for this team. He's given this team a real boost. A boost of confidence. Unlike Craig Counsell-Out, Pat Murphy doesn't hold his players back. He's giving them the freedom to run/steal, to make decisions on the field. Pat Murphy's approach has been absolutely phenomenal for these guys, especially the rookies. Rookie players can fail if they lose one thing, CONFIDENCE! Pat Murphy's approach has given players like Jackson Chourio, Sal Frelick, Bryce Turang, Blake Perkins, Garrett Mitchell, and the other rookies and 2nd year players a chance to see what it's like to have a manager who TRUSTS your judgment and skills, and I honestly believe that has helped these players excel instead of falter like so many did under Counsell-Out. Our defense has improved dramatically since last season. Our stolen base capabilities have exploded! Our approach at the Plate has also improved dramatically as well. Now hitters are drawing walks, being far more selective at the plate. Causing the Pitchers to make more mistakes. I have not seen a more complete overall team in Baseball for a long time.
