You certainly did some research on this subject. I would love to have walked across that bridge and then returned to our own time.

This subject is endlessly fascinating. Patricia Pierce wrote a good book on it and I enjoyed your video too.

Excellent. May I make a suggestion? STand up when doing the voiceover work (narration). All pro voiceover guys do this. Your breathing is much better that way.

Love the interiors and idea making the bridge a capital for all trading in london, so sad that none of it remains

0:05 Southwark is pronounced like 'other' with an S and K added; 'Sutherk'. The W is completely silent. 0:33 Thames is pronounced 'Tems'. 1:30 It was the south, not north gate that displayed heads, and it was not known as Traitor's Gate, which is in the Tower of London.

Super interesting!! ☝️ I have always wondered what happened to this construction and bridge, as it’s so peculiar and special. The idea itself is not optimal, I’ve always felt, but I never thought that this was the reason for it to no exist today. It must have been fascinating to see!

Fascinating architecture! Thanks for sharing!! 🙏

That's a fascinating piece of engineering and history. That's an incredibly long lived and well built structure!

I love that a kid can make a video that gets 2k views in less than 2 years. YouTube works miracles

Southwark is pronounced "Sutherk" and "Thames" is pronounced "Tehms"

Traffic congestion in London has been an issue for hundreds of years🤨, to think our great grandparents 10+ generations would have complained as much as us about traffic!

Very interesting. The London bridge of today is really boring, I wish we still had a covered one.
