I'm trying to hold off on the spell research seeing as looting the towers is so fun :P

That happens by design. Mithion wrote the mod so that towers could sometimes be broken, or filled in slightly with dirt. Essentially, when the structures are generated theres a small chance that they won't completely replace the area they are being placed in. If you use other mods as well, then theres a chance that other structures can be generated in the same place after the Ars Magica structures.

I agree. I tend to use the mage tower myself. In fact, if you watch my Arcania series that just what I did there too.

fantastic video, a couple of the towers have been updated, the first tower you went over now has loot on the top floor and the tower with the 4 stairs into the basement has an aditional chest in one of the rooms. mithian has been working on a totaly new version where he overhauls much of the spell creation, check out direwolf20's forgecraft server play series episode 17 i think for a sneak peek.

Glad to be of assistance. I'm still trying to find all the underground structures though, so I you've got a seed/coords for one, feel free to supply it.

I get that. Besides, you still have to wander around to find the ArchMage's Tower. May as well loot as many towers as you can till you find it.

I use "mage tower" for my base its awesome, the library room is a nearly full enchant room just add enchant table, no extra bookshelf need you get up to 30 points as is

I was already planning to record an instructional video to show how to install it this weekend. You should be able to see it by this time next week.

There's one more out there I've seen. It's like a 7x7 square room that looks like a house for a mage, also with a chest. I don't think you can get in without true sight or meteor jump. The protection seal is iinside. It also has a bed in it, and a couple other meager things to make it look cozy.

Dont forget you can research spells. Thats really how you'll find most of you end game spells.

It is possible to use a seed to find specific structures but I haven't written any down or found any real good ones.

This is very true but its pretty obvious it was unintended :P I've yet to find true sight so blink has become my best friend :P
