Nice fly I tie a similar pattern. I just use wire, when I finish the thorax I use the tag end to rib the shank. A coat of super glue and a couple of varnish done. Gives a perfect silhouette in the water.

Neat looking fly but your tying technique needs a bit of help, especially if you are trying to do production tying of this pattern. Minimize the number of steps and you will greatly reduce the amount of time needed to produce this fly.
