Flying Lufthansa Business Class

In this video we'll jump aboard a Lufthansa Airbus A330 in their Business Class on a flight from Dubai through to their home in Frankfurt, Germany.

It was great to get this one being a complimentary upgrade from Premium Economy. Any flight that starts off like that is likely to be a good one? Right....right? Well, let's see as I guide you through the food, entertainment, seat and so many other offerings.

Hi, Very interesting flight. Maybe not the best advert for business class but as you got a free upgrade it was acceptable. They really do need to lift their game if they are to compete in this very competitive market. The breakfast looked awesome though....! cheers

I personally feel that everybody should have an isle access in business class but we all know that airlines prioritize profits over passenger all the way from South Africa as always.

Flew LH business from FRA to EWR 2 days ago for the novelty of flying on the upper deck of a 747. Crew was great but the seat/IFE monitor was terrible and food was completely inedible. Polaris is leaps and bounds better because of the seat (United food sucks too).

I’m actually going to slightly come to their defence. Maybe just my experience traveling from Scotland where choice is restricted. For the BC price you get what you pay for. Again, maybe just my experience but had great crew, food was tasty and managed to have a good 6/7 hours solid sleep.
My other alternatives come in at near double the price, which actually pays for the rest of the holiday. Yes, could go via London, but that’s another leg onto the journey adding hours and time that I would rather spend @ my destination.

Flying back from Singapore to Frankfurt about 18 months ago we were in Business on the Upper Deck. It was a midnight flight and we were taking off an hour late due to bad weather so keen to get some sleep I just went for a starter. about 6 hours later (and with another 6 hours to go) I asked what snacks they had. For our upcoming trip to Bangkok in January, I very reluctantly booked Lufthansa business instead of our usual PMI-MAD-DOH-Asia routing with Qatar (mostly Q suites). Why? Well, a) it was 1000E cheaper per person, b) the total journey time is a lot shorter as just PMI-MUC-BKK, and c) it's on an A380 upper deck. I have extremely low expectations of Lufthansa having heard many horror stories, but thoughts of spending that 1k each in Thailand will hopefully see us through!!! I think it is super embarrassing for Luft and BA to still be offering ancient business class like this which barely qualifies as Premium Economy. Even more so that these seats will still be around for another 1 or 2 years. Wish me luck!!

The last time I flew with them, they served Menger Krug Sekt instead of champagne and claimed it was BETTER than the real stuff. Amazing to be told that by a server on board. But of course they were German!
