Always a free choice. Except when they want to choose to participate in holidays, have friends that are non-witnesses, get involved in school programs or anything else as a minor child where the beliefs of the adult override the free will of said minor child. Total flip flopping. As always Panda you’re bang on. Come on Tony, you said they couldn’t get a drivers license or depend on their grandparents to get through! How is none of this and the dreadful song video not coercion? I never agreed with under 18’s getting baptised and now this approach to make it clear they expect it, its crazy!especially given the recent Norway decision to remove funds to try and stop them shunning minors (and yes I know it’s still not right when they do it to an adult). I am so glad I’m out of it.

I don’t get this idea of “don’t drag your children to “the truth.””

I mean, if the children are going to be shunned for not believing this faith traditions, how could any good parent not drag their children into believing what JW say is the truth? As a parent, if I truly believed that shunning of non believers is reasonable, I would drag my child, kicking and screaming, to “the truth.”

How does one kick their child out of the house and out of their lives for what they think? I will never understand this. Never.

Just some thought and information control with music and propaganda that shows them the ONLY acceptable life "choices" that they can make in order to keep a relationship with friends and family.
