There is actually two rules for those picks. First do not get them wet and second do not feed them after midnight.

Guthrie always reminds me of a Knight from the 13th century. Of course back then he would have been the most gifted and lethal swordsman of the age.

"Something vaguely pointy, something quite thick is the way forward" - That's definitely what she said.

My guitar teacher had one of these. Sold it to me for 20 quid (about 25€ at the time). 6 years later, (only misplaced it once for a few hours) I still have it! Great pick!

As much as the wait time was outlandish it was definitely worth the wait. It by far crushes the competition. Gives a nice defined crisp attack and wears very slowly and evenly. I would highly recommend them. In fact most of my students own at least one

Sometimes there are no alternatives but to kill a turtle. Like, when the turtle is holding a thermal detonator.

Red Bear is the best pick I've ever used overall in many decades of playing. The speed and clarity is instantly noticeable. My playing improved, which is more than you can ask from a pick (I'm not saying I have more musicality; nothing for that yet.) I got a selection of 5 different ones to find out what I like best, and for me so far it is the A-HVY. Will order up some more and try other models as well. I don't care about the price and neither should you. 4 month wait.

I am digging my Red Bear pick. I even ordered a huge one for acoustic playing.

They're fairly good picks if you don't mind spending the same amount on one pick that you could buy 6 dozen and you also don't mind waiting forever to get them I am still waiting on mine almost 3 months now.

@StratManEd I heard he uses the standard bevel. He might have been using that one for a long time and it just developed a bevel over time.

@xXNeoShredderXx couldnt of said it better myself... never tried a Red Bear tho even tho some of my favorite guitarist use them.. Andy Wood, Guthrie of course.. I use Blue Chip picks which are along the same line as the Red Bear.. i mean i started using Jazz III for the same, that certain attack they have and listen to Andy Timmons he has among the sickest tone ever and he uses those Jazz IIIs you can hear it in his playing... gotta get me Red Bear

I'm about to buy a red bear pick, should I get a speed bevel? I'm pretty much a blues and jazz guy.
