Avascular Necrosis (AVN) is a disease in which the bone tissue dies due to a lack of blood supply. This disease may occur in any of your bones but it is most commonly seen in the hip bones. The hip bones are most commonly affected by this disease because they have a high concentration of trabecular bone tissue which is a very vascular type of bone tissue. A lack of blood supply leads to the death of not only the bone cells but also their neighboring supportive cells, osteoblasts, and osteoclasts.

In the majority of cases, after proper diagnosis and treatment, Avascular Necrotic patients can lead normal lives for many years with proper Ayurvedic treatment. Ayurveda suggests remedies that treat the root causes of this disease which ultimately will help heal your bone tissue.
