I appreciate how you acknowledge the feeling you get with cool looking equipment and parts (like how a chain kit is also a good way to trick out your bike). Sometimes people get too caught up in pure function over form. But if the function is there, why not have some fun with the form?

I'm running two X-14's....best helmet I've ever worn. Pinlock is awesome, tear offs work amazing, maybe a few dollars more than others, but it's a premium lid. Worth every penny.

Had this exact one 4 to 5 months and so far its the best helmet I've ever owned..i have a gt air in large which is a little loose, only a bit but the spirit 3 (uk) is much more snug, real.good race fit..Air feed is superb, especially when you tuck your head downwards. Wind buffering seems good but I don't really ride at those super high speeds too often anyway. Its nice and light, mines large so roughly 1550g..
I also ride a gsxr but only a 600, so the second fastest in the world (probably)

I've had x-14 for a few years, and love this lid. I specifically picked it up mainly for street duty, due to the transitions shield, but really found it more useful on track. I use Corsair X for street mostly now...seems more comfortable for street riding than x-14, but still wish Arai would do a transition shield...maybe one day.

Had these bad boys for over 10months now and all I can say is. GOD DAMN ARE THEY GREAT. I don't think I'll ever go for another helmet.

I just bought this helmet last week and got to ride in it the other day, phenomenal helmet all around! The brow vent could be a tad easier to operate, Also the neck roll could be a bit stiffer to create a better seal. 10/10 would recommend!

Very nice graphic, I use my arai chaser x for commuting and the x14 for the weekend, I feel the x14 is like a bullet in the high speed, however the arai is more buffeting but is much better for shoulder checks as the aero is not as aggressive and does not catch in the wind. Enjoy your new lid.

Be honest Bryan, the X-14 vs the Corsair-X. I just pulled the trigger on the Arai and I can’t wait for it to arrive.

That’s the graphic I wanted to get but had to go with the gloss black I also went with the transition visor I know it’s pricey but I was buying a X-14 after all best decision.

Awesome video Mr Van. I tried the Aria Helmets watching your video I couldn’t get the right fit but the shoei x14 is a awesome fit for me and seeing you do this video tell me I pick a Great Helmet Thank you

Congrats! Great review as allways (e.g. field of vision). You matched this X14 on pair with the Shark Race R Pro (a Bryan Van's "spooky silent helmet"). If i only could buy one what are the pros and cons between X14 and Race R Pro? Thanks

Which would you say has the better field of vision X-14, Shark Race R Pro GP, or RPHA 1N? You do the best reviews, hands down!!

gosh im stuck between the x14 and the RF1400, i only do city riding so the RF1400 should be my pick however i just love the look of x14, is ther a trade off between these 2 besides price and looks? any other major differences? thank you

Alright I'm having a tough decision between the x14 and rf 1400. I am wanting it to commute and a few things I am looking for is lightness and how quite the helmet is with exhaust and wind noise.

Hey i have a orange bike and was looking to find a matching helmet. Is that a orange color or red? Your video shows orange but online stores shows red. Thanks in advance

Hi, I’ve read in some reviews that the X14 is a noisy helmet, would you consider it noisy compared to the rf1400? I would just use for everyday riding not track.
Thanks

Hi Brian, thank you for all the great content. I find you one of the few honest retailers who shares good info. I watched your video on why to buy arai helmets where you talked about how it is the safest and highest quality helmet and that all the fancy aerodynamics could be a hazard. So, if Arai is the safest, why switch your son to a super aerodynamically aggressive Shoei? You have far more experience with these helmets than I do and Im really just curious why you made the switch? Thanks!

I just bought this helmet and it is fantastic! I feel so fast in it just by wearing it haha
Do you recommend buying a custom dainese suit for guys getting started in track days or still to the standard?
