I almost fainted watching this in IMAX

When I heard Inception wasn’t shot on IMAX 70MM I was very disappointed. Unlike his IMAX shot films like The Dark Knight and Tenet the movie wouldn’t fill IMAX screens to full capacity which I felt would take away the immersion. But when rewatching Inception, I tried envisioning it with aspect ratio changes for select scenes. And honestly I understood where Nolan was coming from in his decision to shoot on 35MM all throughout. This helped capture the reality of dreams instead of their extraordinary nature and aspect ratio changes definitely would’ve messed with that.

Fun fact: Nolan actually bend Paris to get that shot. Some say the apocalyptic damages it caused were too much, but I think it's worth it to get a good shot.
