Spirit of Grace - Stanton Lanier

With ten inches of snow forecast, I headed to northeast Georgia to create my first winter music video. The snow symbolizes the purity and beauty of God's gift of grace and forgiveness. "Spirit of Grace," from the album "Open Spaces," was inspired by Zechariah 12:10 -- "I'll pour a spirit of grace and prayer over them" (The Message).

Hi Stanton. This is such a lovely piece. I keep coming back to music from both "A Thousand Years" and "Open Spaces" to use as church prelude music. I'm doing this piece on Sunday. I must admit, however, to transposing it to G instead of Gb (so much easier!). Curious as to why you wrote it in 6 flats, along with other pieces? Maybe just felt it that way I suppose. I'll take one sharp over six flats any day😃
