WLtoys 144001 is a nice RC car right from the box

WLtoys 144001 unboxing and first look. This is just a quick look and short test run of the WLtoys 144001 RC car.
It’s a 1/14 scale RC car with a brushed 550 motor. It has a 2.4 GHz radio and a lot of aluminum upgrades from the factory, including oil filled aluminum shocks. It’s not without a few quirks but I’ll go over those in another video.

If you use this ESC and motor combo you will have to change the connectors on one or the other.

The servos that I use.
The JX servo is a direct fit.

The Hitec HS-81 needs a slight mod to the servo mount.

I plan to do a speed test with my GPS ASAP. I’ll go over the car in a little more detail in the next video.
