If you can speak to your friends like it’s a mw2 lobby, you have good friends.

The worst way to treat another dude is to leave him out of the joke.

When you get poked fun at, that means you're in.

I am a 46 year old woman from Australia and my best friend of 37 years is Vietnamese, I call her an ozchong and she calls me ozcon (convict). We also have many friends from different backgrounds and cultures and we always pick on each other.

Absolutely true. Had some friends while in the military that we would say terribly things to but we would give our lives for each other

Crazy how that works huh? The closer you are with someone, the more you rag on them and vice versa. But you would never say some of the shit to a stranger

My best friend at my last job exclusively called me “grease ball” (I’m Italian American) and I exclusively called him “alchy” (he’s Irish American). Only the boys understand this kind of friendship

It's so true you don't know relationships on first sight. We visited a uncle when I was about 10 in Mississippi. I heard one neighbor go "Fuck you! You stinky n**ga!" 👁️👄👁️ neighbor went " Get yo brother and sister is your mom and dad ass back inside!"😂 I really thought they were beefing but later saw them chilling on the porch drinking beers. When I worked in a restaurant in Louisiana it was wild some of the stuff I heard in the kitchen. Dudes said they like to do racist jokes for laughs and were genuinely good friends. Once a Mexican guy went "If you robbed my house with your eyes and mouth closed at night I'd think my TV is floating and also stop letting your mom hold up the line with her EBT declining!" so randomly and they just laughed going back and forth. That shit made me laugh when walking by and I respect that some of us can just really take a joke. Black co workers always wanted me to say the N word but I just couldnt😂 I just genuinely have a side of my brain that hits that James Brown "WHHHOOOAAAAHH!!!! Don't do that!"

Problem is even older people can't take jokes anymore. Not many people have a sense of humor & can take what they dish out. Age doesn't matter.

I grew up in a black house, had friends of every ethnicity, religion, and nationality, and we all talked mad shit to each other and made absurd jokes about stereotypes.

It takes the impact away from it all and shows that we're all on the same level. Stripping that from society has only built walls between us and created tension.

I the 90s and early 2000s, there wasn't any of the same tension we feel today. It wasn't even a thought outside of a few very isolated places. Now, it's all we think about and we've actually reinforced those stereotypes and become the thing our jokes were meant to evaporate.

We're moving backwards. Fast.
