In this easy to follow after effects tutorial you will learn how to create and animate a 3D text in after effects with no plugins.
I will show this to you in 5 easy steps:

1. Create a text
2. Animate the text; therefore I will show you how to use Animators for finer control
3. Make the text 3D add lights and camera,extrude and bevel it
4. Set Materials and an Environment Layer
5. Add volumetric lights

I am going to show you how to use the cinema4d render engine to create all of this within After Effects.

You will learn how to create a complete 3D scene, that involves a 3D curved background, 3d text, lights and a camera. I am going to show you how to use the material and geometry options to get the look you are after. Learn all about reflections in 3d objects as well as how to set up an environment layer.

In bestem Denglisch sage ich "Again what learned" 🙂 Ich arbeite schon so lange mit After Effects, mir ist aber noch nicht aufgefallen, dass bei 3D-Buchstaben dann die Eigenschaften für Front, Side, Back und Bevel separat gesteuert werden können, danke! 🙂
Mein Lieblings VFX ist die Logoanimation von Imagine Entertainment. Es ist jetzt nicht unbedingt die VFX-Arbeit dahinter (auch wenn der Übergang von den Highlight-Reflexionen zu den Buchstaben schon einiges an Arbeit fordert), sondern wie dieser Effekt eine ganze Geschichte erzählt. Hier sind die Wortmarke und die VFX-Animation einfach genial miteinander kombiniert.

Great video! I think my all time favourite vfx is the black hole shot from Interstellar. Interstellar itself is such a good movie, and when I try to think about how they managed to create such beautiful vfx shots my head just hurts because it looks so amazing.

in vfx i have many favorites like baloon effects or ambulance text effect like at the end of the movie the ambulance or also effects like in the movies happy time murders, or motion camera effects like the movie the revenant when he was running from all indians and u can see the camera flowing like a drone but very stabilized movementes and no cuts everything flowing in one shot
