Listen to the whole of Kind of Blue in my view the best jazz album ever recorded.

Legend. Cannonball did a song called Jive Samba which is great. He also did an album with Nancy Wilson, considered one of the jazz vocal albums

I love that you're listening to jazz. It's my favorite genre. This one is a great tune, but you can't appreciate the artistry of Cannonball Adderley here. Try "Dancing in the Dark." You will LOVE it. Guaranteed.

When I was young I listened to a lot of Jazz. Ramsey Lewis, , Ahmad Jamal, Billy Eckstine, Sarah Vaughn, Carmen Mcrae and many others. You should check some of these out. Wonderful adult music.

Cannonball Adderly was my husband’s godfather. His family went to Saint Michael’s and All Angels Episcopal Church in Tallahassee with my husband’s family.

Nice song choice! Also check out Cannonball Adderley Quintet "Work Song" from their "Live in Lugano" album released in 1963.

One of the greats is a statement that hardly covers it. This is before jazz decided to compete more with rock (which was also a worthwhile movement, incidentally) and therefore perhaps lacks an edge, but is distinguished by soul.

Glad to see you delving into jazz. Great reaction.

This was written by Joe Zawinul, the blackest white man that ever touched piano keys. Try "Country Preacher" and "Lord, Lord, Lord." Or try some Weather Report: Nubian Sundance, Black Market, Harlequin, Dream Clock.... I could go on and on.

Buckinghams did a vocal version of this song as well!!!

This song was written by Joe Zawinul who played at the time with Cannonball. Joe would later go on to be a founding member of Weather Report with Wayne Shorter and Jaco Pastorius. Try Cannonball and Bill Evans doing doing a nice rendition of "Waltz For Debbie" on the album "Know What I Mean". Also, try him doing "Autumn Leaves" with Miles Davis. Try Weather Report doing "Birdland". All for some nice intro's into jazz. By the way, the photo you see is not from this album, but from Cannonball's album "Things Are Getting Better" that he did with Milt Jackson of The Modern Jazz Quartet.

I love this song. I love this recording! The energy in that room, the vibe of the crowd, the sway the music has... Give me a joint and put me in the middle of that room please.

Thank you for the reaction. I've never commented before but I've loved several of your reactions over the years. I appreciate the effort it takes to record and edit!

I know I'm late, but I just discovered this. Thank you for your reaction to this blues-jazz instrumental, it's rare enough. By the way: I basically like all of your videos a lot 🤩. They show a lot of variety, I think that's nice. Please keep it up 😘.

Thank you for doing this. Love me some jazz. May I suggest Tom Scott & The L A Express doing the song Rock Island Rocket from 1974? You will be rockin in your chair.
